Richmond Symphony Youth Orchestra

During Suzette's senior year of high school, she played flute in the Richmond Symphony Youth Concert Orchestra.  It was a rich and valuable experience for her, and we so enjoyed going to the concerts!  There are many songs I could share, but I chose two.  Ashokan Farewell, which was the song used as the title theme of the 1990 PBS miniseries, The Civil War.  It's a beautiful piece that begins with a solo violin, and gradually builds to the entire orchestra.  The second piece is Hungarian Dance No. 5.  You'll probably recognize it!  The recordings are live concert performances.  Listen and enjoy :)
