Our next door neighbor graduated from high school today! Makayla is much more than a neighbor though, she is our daughter-in-heart. She was just 6 years old when we met her family. She has been raised by two loving and devoted grandparents, and is a special young lady of exceptional character. I'm excited she'll be staying home another two years, going to college locally, because we'll continue to see her! She then plans on transferring to a university, and will be studying elementary education. At the graduation ceremony today, Makayla honored God and her grandparents during her speech, and quoted Proverbs 31:10 as her life verse: "Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies."
